Is this the life you saw with me
Those many years ago?

12/22/2022 – a haiku
A star glowed brightly
So I followed, knowing not
Where the star might lead
12/21/2022 – time unpassed
I’ve often seen in visions what
Another time could be
On someone else’s life looked, but
That someone else was me
It is a strange and curious thing
To so know something false
As strands of time unpasséd sing
As strongly as your pulse
12/20/2022 – I with both
In the deepness
Of a moment
I find multitudes
Of stars:
Knowledge
Wonder
Fury
Calm
Wisdom
Innocence
Dullest grey and brilliant light
Pervade my senses
Each not without the other
And I with both
12/19/2022 – a haiku
All’s quiet here now
At night, in the fire’s calm heat
As we breathe and slow
12/17/2022 – my mind’s door
I walked into a clouded place
Amidst a sunless sky
Away from time, away from space
Flying both low and high
It was a place of in-between
No edges and no floor
A place meant to go e’er unseen
Not so much as a door
Yet still I found myself in there
Parted from earthly bonds
Breathing something I won’t call air
Standing in misted ponds
And soon as I looked ’round, I stepped
Again through my mind’s door
From a place I found as I slept
That made me want for more
12/16/2022 – a haiku
Bring me a mountain
Lined with rivers and green trees
What a place to lie
12/15/2022 – frozen dew
Gleaming dewdrops
Frozen by December’s chill
Sparkling under the sunrise
In the briefest moment
Before they return
To the earth
12/14/2022 – want for warmth
In winters long and ever chilled
I long for sunlight’s heat
On some beach sandcastles I’ll build
In sand bury my feet
12/13/2022 – a haiku
All’s clearer in snow
As the creatures move slower
And each sound flies far
