1/16/2023 – not gently
Rise not gently
At the dawn
1/14/2023 – speak/wisdom
To look is not to see
To hear is not to listen
To sense is not to know
Nor is to speak, to speak wisdom
1/13/2023 – their imaginings
A child looks out upon the world and sees
A land of promise, colors bright and true
I wish to look, through their eyes, at this freeze
And their imaginings I’ll take on too
1/12/2023 – a haiku
When will the sun come
Triumphant from behind clouds
To shine upon me?
1/11/2023 – only ever a part (the sea turtle)
With quiet grace
And thoughtful slowness
It rides currents
Seen without sight
As in its world
It exists with
Beside
Near
Over
Under
Never less or greater
Only ever a part
1/10/2023 – that shadowed cloud
A stormcloud wandered into my blue sky
With falling rain and thunder booming loud
Instead of hiding, there I hoped to fly
To learn what lay within that shadowed cloud
1/9/2023 – a haiku
The words of others
Swirl in a storm of bold type
In this dreaming head
1/7/2023 – your nearness
A gladness unbidden
Invades my heart
With your nearness
1/6/2023 – a haiku
Sit here beside me
Run your fingers through my hair
Let me feel you there
