How far must I go
How many horizons seek
How much chaos endure
Before the threads interweave
The tapestry forms
The harmonies of this stream
Sing
How far must I go
How many horizons seek
How much chaos endure
Before the threads interweave
The tapestry forms
The harmonies of this stream
Sing
Would but that I could
Change the stream
Bend its flow
Point it elsewhere
Alas that the stream ever carries me
And its mouth remains
Unmoved
I wandered into
A page
And found there a promise
Of life
Of beauty
Of love
And so did I dive deeper
Till I found them
Would that my soul
Could ever be as free
As it is
Amidst music
I look to the skies
For though they are blinding
And boundless
Out there is some of me
And in me, some of there
The wind howls
And in the roar
Words
Spring forth
Rise with the sun
And sleep not
Until you have danced among the stars
Have I not walked
Trodden upon the unbroken ground
For such distances
As to seem
Endless?
Have I not heard
The sounds of every end of the earth
Such symphonies
As to seem
Boundless?
Would that I had not felt
The gnawing pain of a thousand lifetimes
Such agony
As to seem
Enough for one man
But perhaps
None can be
Without the others
What brightness shines in me
Is matched in the shadowed depths
For one cannot be
Without the other
I can hear a distant melody
Whispering on the wind
From lands far past the horizon
Telling stories of places
And peoples
And wonders
I have not yet known
