The dark lady

On March 12, 2018March 12, 2018 By adamcallahan117In Short PoemsLeave a comment

Eyes as black as night
She comes in darkest hour
Whisks away our sight
Performs a service dour

Sometimes she’s too soon
But never is she late
Comes with waxing moon
Before expected date

She builds nightly nest
For victims young and old
Takes us to our rest
In her arms she’ll us hold.
