I walk between the gnarled, snow-weighted boughs
Seeking for but the smallest bit of green

Great noises abound
In the air around
So that always, sound
Plagues my ears

Of the world we burned

To wish upon a distant star
Is wishing back in time

Speak not to me of riches or
The weight of ordered life

The winter chill arrests me so
