I want to look down
Upon rivers and forests
To climb grand mountains
I want to look down
Upon rivers and forests
To climb grand mountains
As the sun shines in
I gaze out in endless awe
At the sparkling snow
As snow falls thick
And the wind howls, eerie
I hear
A song of nature
Singing loud
Proud
True
Fresh snow
Lying on the ground
Eddying around
Sitting soft
Waiting to be stepped in
Grey skies
Quiet
They encompass all, touch nothing
Change everything
Spinning circles
In my mind
Often I find
I’m jumping over hurdles
And my mind hurtles
Spinning circles
Wide, bright horizons
O’er epic tales of courage
Rolling through my mind
Sweet sounds of music spinning in my mind
Play symphonies no matter what the hour
In silent orchestras daily I find
A tranquil, simple, everlasting pow’r
And when did kings and despots
Earn their unearthly pow’rs?
How did they claim the priv’lege
To rule o’er others’ lives?
Questions unending
Lost in frantic thoughts
Hoping for a breath
Of peace
