Little can faze me
When I hold your hand in mine
And all is quiet

Wind comes whistling down
Bringing with it frosty air
And a wish for spring

She gathers the nuts
Though she barely grasps what for
Until the spring thaw

It seems I’m quite behind! Poems incoming!

White blankets the ground
And all the sounds are muted
Cold reigns over all

Let it be renewed
Take all that has gone rotten
Let it be renewed

I wait in the dark
Between joy and renewal
Where time does not touch

One day for quiet
A book, some tea by the fire
Smiling loved ones near

On this longest night

Let us rest for just a while

Not longing for dawn

Sunlight streams o’er me
And I inhale all its rays
So becoming light

Something sings to me
Though I know not whence it comes
And I grow lighter
