Let me lie beneath
A wind-dancing canopy
And breathe for a while

Flowers are blooming
And hot winds blow from the south
Yet I gaze elsewhere

Take my hand in yours

Teach me what is you

I hear trees sighing
As if free for a moment
From what we have wrought

The heat’s rolling in
And bringing a stifling air

The hot sands shifted
And my path through grew twisted
Toward the unknown

The grasses grow high
As the skies endlessly weep
And all earth turns green

I seek out wisdom
Yet as moments hurry on
I remain unwise
