Sinks low
Creeps wide
Finding crevices
Reaching outward
Till it finds a place to be
And things can grasp it

A meaning

That filling up
Of me
That electric truth
That rides along
Every artery
Like a million creeks
In a storm

A maelstrom rages
Deep in my heart
Where swirling currents crash
And roar

Burned
Or turned to square, unbreathing shelter
Of rivers
Redirected
Dammed
Or poisoned beyond recognition
Would that I could remember them
