My heart thrums
Wondering
Wandering in distant times and places
My ears prick
At sounds
Of harmonies in spacetime
And my mind twists
And turns
Trying to make sense of it all
My heart thrums
Wondering
Wandering in distant times and places
My ears prick
At sounds
Of harmonies in spacetime
And my mind twists
And turns
Trying to make sense of it all
From whence comes the rain?
Its smells are primally sweet
I would follow them
If such is life that often we
Are lost when we’d be found
Why, then, can’t I feel unbound, free
When chaoses abound?
Though it may be quick
And with its share of dangers
It is best to live
And with a breath so do we say
The things that fill our minds
Without a mind to how the sound
Will fall on list’ning ears.
No, it’s not the 19th. But I forgot to write a poem yesterday, which means today you get two! ~AC
Morning’s light comes
O’er treetops
Shining rays through the boughs
As Night gives way to triumphant Day
As the Sun and the Stars
Dance
And Earth in her wonder smiles upon
The heavens
As life awakens
And Fate circles the seas
And the cycle continues
Daybreak comes
Do not ask of me
To live without great music
To lose my soul’s salve
“Smart” is learned
“Wise” is earned
Twirling, spinning, joyous dancing
All about the clouds
With you
As the sun winks out and the stars awaken
I find in your eyes
True beauty
Life
As if all the universe till that point had strived
To bring us to that moment
To fill our hearts with joy
And your eyes with light
Like the light of creation itself
The stars are ours
Our souls, a story
Far longer than
This life
I see that tale
In your
Eyes.
Why do we often turn about
To find that someone new
Has suddenly appeared within
The man in the mirror?
Who is he? Why’s he chosen now
To show himself to me?
What will he teach me ‘fore he’s gone
Replaced by another?
I only hope the lessons he
can teach to me ring true;
For he is me, and I am he
One, just as we are two.
