A brighter day awaits me
When I can live with the clouds
And welcome the rains
And smile at the roaring winds
And embrace the sounds of a disquieted world

Would that I might toil ‘neath the sun
From dawn till dinner time
I never felt I was the one
To find in plastic keyboards some new rhyme

At last the leaves bud
And the flow’ring plants poke through
As all comes to life

I once oft wished for faster things
To walk upon the sky
I wish now for life without strings
My heart lifts that I do not reach so high
