A star glowed brightly
So I followed, knowing not
Where the star might lead

All’s quiet here now

As we breathe and slow

Bring me a mountain
Lined with rivers and green trees
What a place to lie

All’s clearer in snow
As the creatures move slower
And each sound flies far

Return to my arms
That I might fill them with you
Still this aching heart

Winter’s wind returns
Let it not now chill my heart
But die at the gates

I wonder at things
That I could never control
I sigh and forget

Ancient winds blow sand
From far-off lands to my ears
Eternal echoes

As the sun peeks through

The cold grey winter blanket

Bright life emerges
