It is with sadness
That I gaze beyond my sight
Longing for newness

Horizons call me

I tire of the noise
Machines’ unending assault
I long for calm shores

Let’s look to the stars
Imagine a thousand worlds
Full of joyous life

Hurried sprouts spring high
With suddenness at the sun
To see it at last

Wander there with me
Where what’s known meets horizons
That we might be free

I am but a man
Yet I yearn to fly higher
Rise above myself

I’ll let the truth in
Pour it through my writing hand
And see what I find

In silence I die
And in symphonies I rise
