2/20/2024 – pulled beneath
The heavy blanket of the snow
Holds music in its hand
Who knows, then, where the songs all go
When pulled beneath the land?

Walk beside me here
Where the storm rages o’er me
Until I can leave

Let me disappear
In the flames
Of your fire

I came upon a broken path
Gone overgrown with moss
And tiptoed o’er the quiet growths
To see what nature brought

Come back to my arms

To do so in lieu of all else
